Welcome to my web site.  My name is Jay Murakoshi, owner of Baja Fly Fishing Adventures dba Flies Unlimited.  I have spent the last 38 years in the fly fishing industry tying flies commercially and hosting fly fishing trips to a lot of tropical destinations.  Our speciality is salt water fly fishing and have dedicated over 3 decades in the exploration of such places like Baja California Sur, Honduras, Guatamala, Australia and the California surf zone.  We have been running a fly fishing school in Baja for the last 16 years.  We have also ventured to Australia for a wide variety of species not found in any other waters.  When we’re not on the road, we spend a lot of time searching the waters for warm water species like the large mouth bass, stripe bass, blue gills and even carp.

We also offer a wide variety of salt water and fresh water flies.  Our flies are tied with the best quality materials and we also use Gamakatsu and Dai Ichi hooks exclusively.  All of our flies are tied in the USA, unless otherwise noted.  We have recently developed a new pattern for large mouth bass called the CB Diver.  It’s similar to a “crank bait” lure which the bass fishermen use.  You can view the fly by clicking on the Online Catalog link.

I am a west coast contributing writer for Fly Fishing in Salt Waters magazine.  As a speaker, I have been doing seminars and clinics since the early ’80’s.  I have spoken to thousands of people at events like the International Sportsman Exposition, The Fly Fishing Show, Renzetti Fly Fishing Fair, Kiene’s Fly Shop, sports pro shops, fly fishing clubs and conclaves.
